Scope
This policy applies to all Library employees, contractors, board members, and volunteers (“staff”) engaging in functions within the Library, or in activities on behalf of the Library from the date of this policy forward.
Mandatory Use of Mask or Face Covering
As of June 15, 2022, this policy is held in abeyance and will be reinstated in the future as needed.
When mandated, all employees, visitors, and patrons are required to wear a mask or face covering upon entering and remaining within Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre. The mask or face covering must fully cover the nose, mouth and chin without gaps.
Library Access During a Public Health Emergency

The Library and Elections

Purpose
The Library must act and appear to act in a non-partisan way at all times, while supporting the democratic process, freedom of expression and informed discussion on political issues. The library must comply with legislation related to elections.

Purpose
The Fort Frances Public Library Board recognizes the importance of organizing and retaining business and personal records according to standards that ensure ease of retrieval while maintaining appropriate levels of security and confidentiality.
This policy should be read in conjunction with OP-05 - Privacy.
Shredder Use

To provide the FFPLTC and its patrons with Equipment (shredder) for the purpose of shredding paper material.

Donations

Purpose
Donations enable the FFPLTC to increase its capacity and advance our Mission and Vision, by continuing to meet the needs of our evolving community.
The FFPLTC encourages and appreciates all donations made by the public in the form of monetary and/or physical donations.
Maker Space

The FFPLTC provides patrons with Maker Space and Technology for discovery, exploration and the creation of innovative and appropriate materials.
Video Surveillance

Purpose
The Video Surveillance Policy establishes guidelines and procedures for operating a Video Surveillance System on any property and in any building owned or operated by the FFPL Board, as deemed necessary by the CEO.
