Purpose
The FFPL Board recognizes the importance of computers, the internet and social media as work tools and sources of information. The FFPLTC supports the use of computers and internet technology by FFPLTC Staff in their work, while recognizing the need to protect its network, systems, resources and image.
This policy covers FFPLTC Staff use of FFPLTC computers, devices, e-mail systems and networks.
Vacation, Public Holidays and Leave

The FFPL Board’s terms and conditions of employment with respect to vacations, public holidays and leave are in compliance with the Employment Standards Act.

In accordance with the Public Libraries Act s. 15(1) a board may appoint and remove such employees as it considers necessary, determine the terms of their employment, fix their remuneration and prescribe their duties.

Hours of Work

The FFPLTC’s hours of operation are set by the FFPL Board in response to community needs and include morning, afternoon, and evening hours, throughout the week, including weekends.

Purpose
To achieve its mission, the FFPLTC seeks to hire the most qualified FFPLTC Staff possible, based on individual merit and ability.
The FFPL Board attempts to identify and remove barriers that could prevent people from having a fair chance to participate and succeed in the workplace.
