Vision Statement

Purpose

The FFPLTC’s Vision Statement describes its future success. By creating a compelling vision, the FFPL Board encourages action that moves the FFPLTC toward a desirable future. This policy ensures that the FFPL Board and FFPLTC Staff are guided by a clearly articulated vision.

Purpose of the Vision Statement

1. The Vision Statement is used as a decision-making framework for the FFPL Board and FFPLTC Staff.
2. All strategic decisions of the FFPL Board need to support the vision.
3. The Vision Statement is developed by the FFPL Board as part of the planning cycle.
4. The FFPLTC’s Vision Statement must:
   1. be futuristic, in that it describes what the Library aspires to achieve
   2. convey a picture of a desirable future
   3. be easily understood by people both inside and outside of the FFPLTC
   4. guide the actions of the FFPL Board and FFPLTC Staff
